Louciana Souza began her recording career at age three with a radio commercial, and recorded more than 200 jingles and soundtracks, becoming a first-call studio veteran at age sixteen. Luciana’s work as a performer transcends traditional boundaries around musical styles, offering solid roots in jazz, sophisticated lineage in world music, and an enlightened approach to classical repertoire and new music. She has been releasing recordings since 2002, including six Grammy-nominated records, and spent four years on faculty at Berklee College of Music.Praised by Herbie Hancock as “a musical painter,” guitarist Lionel Loueke combines harmonic complexity, soaring melody, a deep knowledge of African folk forms, and conventional and extended guitar techniques to create a warm and evocative sound of his own.Grégoire Maret began playing the harmonica at age 17. His childhood was filled with a diverse array of musical influences from his Harlem born, African-American mother and his Swiss father, a local jazz musician. After his Grammy win in 2005, Maret embarked on a two-year tour with the world-class bassist Marcus Miller and subsequently joined Herbie Hancock’s band.“Souza phrases with the wisdom of an old soul. With a refined, fluid voice, she’s a master of rhythm and pitch and knows how to get to the core of a melody.”
—DownBeat Magazine“Loueke exudes a seductive effortlessness … the intensity is of the most smoldering, in-control variety.”  —New York Magazine

“Gregoire is an amazing player.” —Herbie Hancock
