How I Applied All of My Make Up With One Beauty Blender

I have to admit, I’ve been a little skeptical about the amount of attention beauty blenders have been garnering. I was trained in classical make up application–sponges, brushes, fingers and q-tips. Also, I’ve seen some of the price tags on designer beauty blenders and balked a little.

But beauty blenders run the gambit of dollar store to fenty, so there’s lots of flexibility, which I love.

So I started experimenting with a pretty basic beauty blender. I used e.l.f, which is a decent go-to and available pretty much anywhere—I found mine at Target, but you can find plenty of dupes that are really great.

I started by putting on a tinted moisturizer. I should preface this by saying I didn’t have much time to do a full on face (like, really who does before work these days). I slathered a bit of the tinted moisturizer on. I used Laura Mercier, but certainly there are some less pricey ones out there.  Then I grabbed my e.l.f. concealer and dabbed some under the eyes and just blended away, all the while, impressed with the flexibility of the blender. It’s easy to get those hard-to-reach corners, especially under the eyes.

Quickly, I dab the blender right into my my e.lf. bronzer kit (I was travelling and this is a must HAVE for on the go!). I was able to highlight and contour easily and the best part is that I can even clean the blender with some soapy water for the next day! I have to say, I’ll never stop using a finger and a brush, but I am definitely sold on beauty blenders!
